I've split movies with intervideo dvd copy 4. They come out fine but I would like to add more then one movies over a few discs. I'm not using any compression because it's faster to just rip/burn. Also I'm using dvd-5's because my burner is twice as fast with dvd-5's
Eg.
Disc 1 contents
Movie A, 100% capacity on disc
Disc 2 contents
Movie A, 40% capacity on disc
Movie B, 60% capacity on disc
Thanks
Isaac

I can add more movies with shrink but what I'm looking for is a program that will split 2 movies over 3 DVD5's without compression. Basically I want to drag and drop 2 movie files into a new dvd burn comp and have it split over however many discs it takes.

hi
yes dvd shrink can split movies for no compressin, you will only need 2 discs (you will need to disc swap though through movie)
use the edit feature
also is this 2 movie only? or with menus?

Hmmm. I looked in the edit tab I went to preferences and selected custom but I wasn't sure what to do. I don't know if I should double the size or what.
Well, I'm burning Anime. They usally come in 4 eps and the more I can squeeze onto discs the better. I only copy the eps/jap audio/eng subs.
I'm still trying to find a way to just add as many eps as I can without compression.

hi
how big is one episode? and these would be dvd files yes?
go to edit funtion and you can split it up in chapters (say you have 10 chapters) like set start as 1 and end as 5 and backup! then on next start at 6 and finish with 10 and backup so no compression, but you may be able to get 2/3 ep on one dvdr5 size of 4.38gig?
do these files start out as avi really (xvids?)

Oh man. I'm such a moron. I didn't even think of the start end feature.
Yes they are all DVD(VOB) files. Episodes are usally 20-30min.
I have some files that are DivX but I don't have a problem fitting them since they are usally about 200mb and I don't mind that much blank space.
Thanks alot for the help.

I have a few programs that will convert the VOB's to AVI and even a dvd player that plays AVI's but I don't like to wait for the files to encode. IMO my time is worth the extra couple of bucks I spend on discs. Then again I spend more time burning, maybe it's a wash.
How fast does that Program convert compared to some of the others out there?

My PC takes about an hour. I can rip/burn about 3 DVD's in that time. When my PC isn't crashing, LOL
