Hi all, I've downloaded a cartoon for my kids. It's an xvid.avi file which has german subs through the whole thing. Anybody know how I can remove them without ruining the cartoon?

I don't know of any way to remove burned in subtitles. If the subtitles were low enough below the image you could use some of the filters in VirtualDub to crop out the subtitles then resize the image back. If the subs are displayed over the image then you'd unfortunately lose part of the image that way. Hopefully someone has a better idea.
