Could you give me more info,I assume you can access the internet as your asking here.
Try signing on in safe mode(tap f8 while the computer is booting and select safe mode with networking).
So its just MSnthat gives that error message??
"i know about ob ny computer? " - What does that mean????
Anyway, if your getting that error try this.
Go to Start
Click Run
Enter the following in the box regsvr32 MSXML3.dll
Re-Start MSN Messenger
If that don't work Ibet this will:
Go to Start -> Run and type CMD and then hit the <enter> key.
Then at the command prompt, type ipconfig /flushdns and then hit enter and retry connecting with MSN Messenger. :)
Should solve it.

hi, i need some help. i'm getting the same error message about firewalls (error 80072ee6). i've turned off all the firewalls that i know of, and i've tried both suggested mentioned above, as well as running a few other things that i've found suggested (refsvr32 softpub, wintrust, and initpki), but i still get the same error and my password dissapears. oh and i even changed my password to "something shorter" as someone suggested.
any ideas? any help would be appreciated...
thanks!

@TGiris,
If you are seeing the 80072EE6 error message when trying to log-in you may find the following tip useful;
* Close off MSN Messenger
* Go to Start
* Click Run
* Enter the following in the box regsvr32 MSXML3.dll
* Re-Start MSN Messenger
If that doesn't case it for you then try flushing the DNS cache on your machine .
Go to Start -> Run and type CMD and then hit the <enter> key.
Then at the command prompt, type ipconfig /flushdns and then hit enter and retry connecting with MSN Messenger. :-)

Hey TGirgis,
I assumed you've tried:
* Close off MSN Messenger
* Go to Start
* Click Run
* Enter the following in the box regsvr32 MSXML3.dll
* Re-Start MSN Messenger
If that doesn't case it for you then try flushing the DNS cache on your machine .
Go to Start -> Run and type CMD and then hit the <enter> key.
Then at the command prompt, type ipconfig /flushdns and then hit enter and retry connecting with MSN Messenger. :-)
If that doesnt work, run the trouble shoot and tell us what it flags.
Good luck.

Hi TGiris,
You missed a part of my post:
Quote: If that doesnt work, run the trouble shoot and tell us what it flags.
Sign in, if you get an error click trouble shoot, tell us what the troubleshooter flags.
good luck.
