I'm a noob here and was wondering if this media would be a good choice (Verbatim DL 8x DVD+R)?

My burner is a DVD+R so that is what I am looking for.

For a second I thought you meant Dual layer for the dl+8x verbs, LOL

Verbatim data life/data life plus are excellent media. These should code as MCC-003,shiny silver thermal jet printables. You may be able to find them cheaper at meritline or rima.com.

Your drive should be able to handle them. I use them in my tv recorder and it's only rated for 4x speed only.These are some of the best media out there. Metal azo dye,which happens to be what taiyo yuden uses.

Check those other 2 sites out I mentioned,maybe save you a few bucks.

What's the exact brand name and model# of that drive?

Thanks for the reply saugmon. My drive is a NEC DVD+RW ND-6100A. I am unable to create DVD-ROM's using DVD Decrypter so I am hoping that its due to my low quality media I am trying to use. A few people here suggested getting better quality media and that might help me out.

I'm not familiar with at model #. NEC's are excellent drives. It should handle those MCC-003's. That is my favorite media.
