Has anyone heard about scratch less disks?
I have seen them in amazon.com and they cost a lot too.
Do you think its a good idea to store critical data on them, or normal CD-Rs would do just fine?

well rede if it was me if the data is so critical why not back it up on a normal cd and instead of spending all that money on a scratch proof disk why not buy a safe or somthing similer,a cheaper altenative would be a 7 layer cereal box maybe(cheap and cheerful).

anyway what is this "critical data", i hope its not porn rede...

@rede

why not try a external storage unit, you can pick up a 80gb for about £50, i think thats great, you can keep all "critical" data on there and its so simple, just plug it in and thats it, its just like a very powerful usb storage pen.

forget scratch proof disks waste of time my freind.

Thank you for your suggestions, and "rav009" its not porn for sure, the critical information concern logistics data and customer information of which we have (by law) to keep backup copies, at least one every month, and store them in a safe place. The backups should be stored on separate media, although the media can be the same (i.e one CD or DVD or Tape for every month's data), so external storage may not be the proper solution. That is why I considered the scratch less disks. They say its surface is made of a glass like polymer and is much harder than the usual disks and also is abrasion, chemical and solvent resistant and deflects UV as well. I need an opinion from someone who has used and tested those disks before considering them as a solution.
