I tried DVD Dycrypter but all I got was error messages then I skipped one file which was the first vob 1 everything else went thru then I tried using vob blanker and got more error messages. My question is how can I back up(copy) this DVD?...Any suggestions on free shareware thats cappable or methods that might work...alex

sweet dvdfab worked...I dont understand on the brothers grim its says only 118 minutes but when i dvdshrink it and use only the title one im still over my limit...with just the movie cutting out the bullsiht at the end of the movie i still only get 88% but the movie is only 118 minutes...whats da deal?

88% is good!

I have used to 45% and still had a great backup.

The reason is that the DVD specification allows for the encoding to fall anywhere in a range. If you pay attention you'll find 90min movies that run 6.5GB. In this case they have encoded at a very high rate. To put it another way not all originals are the same quality. A short movie can be encoded at a much higher quality to fill a dual layer disc.
For this reason the compression % isn't a true guide to your finished copy quality.

Ok now I decided to try something different...I used the wizzard (pgcedit) and It works the best in my opinion. It comes up with the psl needed for your DVD Decrypter then I shrinked it...Got a 100% on the movie and with all english options, 70% on menu with all engish options and the extras i decided to go with still image.

hi scorpionn , what did you have to do with pgcedit and in what order , i have tried a couple of times but cant seem to work it , also im new with this program and am having a hard time using it , i also have dvdfab and dvd decrypt , VOB vobber and shrink . do i do anything with them first or do i use pgcedit then one of them . i would be greatful for any help thank you . JJ. Also do you know where i could find instructions on how to use pgcedit .
