Program shuts down when I press "Backup!"... help!

I am running on WinXP, and once i've opened a disc and then press 'backup!' regardless of the disk i'm using or changes to the output, the program just suts down approx. 5 secs later.

Please help
I'm quite excited and I'm really a newbie at this (but NOT technologically chalenged!!!)

Hey Dave,
Sounds like you're using DVDdhrink, make sure it's version 3.2.0.15 and not an earlier version.

What DVD are you trying to backup, and are you able to play and view it on your pc first before starting the backup process?

When was the last time you up dated your burner's firmware? If you post the model you have, I'll check to see if your upto date.

Have you tried to uninstall shrink, reboot, reinstall and retry?

DVD shrink wont be able to rip most commerical dvd's alone.
You need to be running a decrytption program in the background,
In order for DVD Shrink to work properly.
I use and recommend AnyDVD.
But DVD43 works almost as good and is freeware.
