I just got my flip top in the mail I CAREFULLY installed it then tried my swap magic disc and it says "no data". then I tried a store bought madden 06 game and still nothing "no data" It would not read any of my original ps2 games. What could of possibly happen?
sounds to me like the 'door open' switch is not making contact, this makes the PS2 think the top is open and it wont spin the disk and you'll always get no data.
Taking out the white center disk worked. I got swap magic to load but it says "not a valid ps2 disk". Then I tried an original ps2 game and that loaded fine. I just cant get my back ups to load, like I said it's telling me it's "not a valid ps2 disc". Any suggestions? Thanks.
Since you can get originals to work now, nothing is wrong with your ps2. Does the swap magic disc load alright (im not clear at what point the invalid disc message comes in)?
