Lately when backing up my dvds I have had a problem with skipping and pausing.After inspecting the disc I've notice what appears to be ink runs.It seems that the ones that have the runs on them will pause or skip.So last night when backing up a disc I inspected the disc no runs but after the burn I notice on some that there were runs or spots.How does this happens? I use Verbatims that I get from the Sams Club. Do my burner need to be cleaned or replaced or do you think it's just some bad disc.And also can you have a disc thats fine but over time get these runs.Thnaks for the help!!!!!!!

What program are you using to burn with, and at what speed. I will be interested as I just purchased a pack of 50 verbs (8x) from sams and will be getting into them shortly.

engine17, it seems to me that you might have a bad batch of dvds. The ink runs you referring to might be the culprit, uneven dye?
