i purchased some while back from the same place, and yes, they were genuine TY's well, reading at the code as far as i remember, will run it in DVDinfo tonite and post later to see. i bought mine on sale, now i only hold out for verbatim and anything MIJ (mostly TY's) made sales in my local stores. i got some Fuji MIJ in the colored pack 30 for 10$ last week @ fry's electronic,they also have maxell MIJ 25 pack for 10$.

here is how my burnmaster TY code out, keep in mind mine were -R x8
yes other stores do have better deals on TY's, but when i got mine they were dirt cheap, just promoting the burnmaster brand i think, TY is as you have read the best out there, for me i will tae anyhtng made in japan without thinking, the only brand not MIJ is verbatim MIT, anything else pure garbage :)

i can PERSONALLY confirm that the Burnmaster are OEM produced by Taiyo Yuden...well, the ones that SPECIFICALLY state they are on allmediaoutlet.com are, the "other" TDK quality is CRAP...TDK SUCKS A$$, along with the other "burnmasters" that do not SPECIFICALLY state they are MADE IN JAPAN by TAIYO YUDEN~ :)
i took a little risk last year and purchased a few spindles, being the Taiyo Yuden authority on here, i had to make a small investment to backup what i say on here regarding Taiyo Yuden...
so, with the details squared away, i ordered a few spindles of BOTH the 8x DVD-R and 8x DVD+R Burnmasters that were "claimed" on the website as being MADE IN JAPAN by Taiyo Yuden...
few weeks later, as there was a problem with my order as they were "updating their inventory/stock" at the time order was placed, i received my shipment...
extremely HIGH shipping costs as mentioned by others here, but, they were BOTH in fact authentic Taiyo Yudens...so, no worries about them being "legit" or authentic...
after some testing, i have found the Burnmaster TYS to be good, quality scores on them were a FEW points lower than the premium unbranded TYs from supermediastore, rima; but, mid to high 90's on Nero testing nevertheless...
honestly, in MY opinion, if the shipping wasn't so ridiculous i would purchase these to replenish my stock of TYs...however, these days...with the local sales dropping the price of Taiyo Yudens to about $.30/each...there is no reason FOR ME to spend so much on shipping on TOP OF THE FACT i have to pay sales tax from allmediaoutlet.com too, being that i live in CA~ :)
so, after all is said and done...i'm looking at paying about $.32/each piece, living here in CA, if i were to order these from allmediaoutlet...i would MUCH rather wait for sales locally and get them SAME DAY, saving $15-$20 on shipping ALONE since i always "buy in bulk"... :)
if they had "free shipping" on these Burnmaster OEM TYs, i would personally jump on this in a heartbeat, but until that day comes (without them jacking the price of the media UP to compensate for their "free shipping"), then everyone out there can gobble these up as i won't touch it with a 10-ft. stick until it's "reasonable" to me...bear in mind, MOST of the time these sales at various online retailers are not really "sale prices" to me, since i live in CA...paying sales tax for supermediastore.com, rima.com, newegg.com, meritline.com, allmediaoutlet.com, etc...ruins the "deal" immediately for ME~

p.s. i get my Taiyo Yudens directly from Taiyo Yuden anyways since i buy in bulk, so MY "price" on them is significantly less than what others pay, be it locally on sale (Fuji/Sony branded) or from these online vendors (unbranded TYs)... :)
my "everyday" price on Taiyo Yudens in either format is around $.20-$.25/each depending on rated speed...i just keep up with all the sales out of interest and a reason to go to the stores to "browse" LOL

I live close to an OfficeMax, but they are not the greatest deal and don't sell the Ty offbrands that I am familiar with. The next closest stores are 1 hour. Therefore, I prefer to purchase online.
What are the unbranded Ty from Rima and SMS?

exactly...found in either spindle wrap or the classic Taiyo Yuden cakebox...these will not have a "company logo" on the top (ie. Fujifilm/Sony, etc.~~ :)
