Does anyone know if NexxTech DVD-R and Fugifilm DVD-R's are good media's to use for burning movies? I've heard that if they are made in Japan then they are A+ quality. How true is that? If they are made in India, Tiawan or Singapore to stay away from them.
i know that the NexxTech DVD-R and DVD+R code out as CMC MAG 01A...and as lots of people at this board will tell you......run away run far far far away from these disks.......they may work fine for now and i know they are pretty cheap but in a few months time you are going to have some playback problems with the cheap dye breaking down
now as far as the Fujifilm DVD-R.......look for Made in Japan on the label if you are lucky and it should be smooth sailing
My personal favorites and im sure many others on the board will jump out and agree are either Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim.......followed by Ritek and Maxell
you get what you pay for and spending a few extra bucks now on blanks will be better in the long run than having copies that wont work or jump and skip in 6 months
never heard of nexxtech. u r pretty much right.i have had good results from verbatim(made in tiawan and singapore), and sony (made in japan and tiawan). these two are exeptions to the rule.
these are the inkjet printables you were asking about, using a compatible inkjet printer, such as the Epson R series (R200, R300, etc.), you can directly PRINT onto the inkjet printable disc using your printer...
there are a few kinds out there, inkjet white hub printables, inkjet white printables, silver inkjet printables (my personal favorite), etc...
you CAN NOT print onto "thermal printables" with the aforementioned printers, only the INKJET PRINTABLES with the Epson...make sure you get the correct kind unless you have a thermal printer...
