I have a couple of movies on DVD that I want to edit parts out. (not a fan of the nudity in some of the movies)
Anywho, has anybody tried doing this before? What is some of the software that I will need to do this. I already video editing software. I just need to know the best way to convert the video to an editable format and then convert it back to a dvd with the same selections. I hope this makes sense and I hope somebody else has thought of doing this because I can't find anything on the internet.
Wow. This would be a large task. You would have to have a lot of hard drive space and a lot of time.
First, you would have to rip the dvd to the HD (DVD Decrypter) and possibly (anyDVD). Then, I guess you could use DVD Shrink to extract just the movie. Next, you would have to convert it (maybe DVD2AVI). Then you have to edit it (Sony Vegas). After saving it, you need to convert it back to DVD (many programs for that, ex DVD Santa).
...two and a half months later, you get to watch your new edited DVD.

I agree, there should be an easier way. I am no pro, but I think this is the only way to do what you want.
