I have yet to find a step by step tutorial on how to put Surreal64 onto a cd or dvd. I have a softmodded older xbox with evox with latest version as of 12-1-05. Here is the tutorial I used:
1 - Start GoodGui
2 - Go to "main" then select "config"
3 - Scroll down there until you reach "Nintendo 64"
4 - Press the Red button and browse to your N64 rom directory, (then press ok)
5 - On the top of the config screen are 3 options:
Setup the first one to where your GoodN64.exe is, (this should point to your GoodGui dir)
The second should be set to "false" (this should be set to false since i told you to put GoodN64 into your GoodGui dir)
And to setup the 3rd option just browse to your GoodGui dir and select Goodinfo.cfg
Ok now go back to the main screen, and go to "select system" now select Nintendo 64.
Now we will organize the roms, so select the following options,
*rename (this will rename your roms to have the correct rom name)
the roms will also be moved into a new dir called "ren"
*dirs (this will put all roms in country specific dirs, and hacked and translated roms in their own)Done.
For burning, this is the tutorial I found:
Nero go to File-->New and select the 'CD-ROM (UDF)' icon.
Next you'll need to set up your burning options to be fully Xbox compatible. In Nero set the Write Method to 'Disc-at-Once' then go to the UDF tab and tick the box for Xbox compatibility.
Now just drag all your emulator files and folders into the compilation making sure retain the directory structure and burn the disc as normal no faster than 4x.
I burned to a cd-rw and to dvd-rw and to dvd with no luck. Are these tutorials outdated or am I missing a step. Thanks.
