Memorex sucks. I've had too many bad experiences with them.

More power to you, you can have (buy) them Memosux (especially CMC MAG) as much as you want. See my sig for a good scanning results on them CMC MAG http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/262544 (don't buy CMC MAG & other unknown brands of media). Here's another good thread from my buddy "creaky" http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/232406 (don't let them near your burner).

I, on the other hand, will never ever waste a single penny on those useless piece of crap media period. Again, my top 3 choices of high quality media are: genuine Taiyo Yuden, Verbatim "advanced azo/datalife plus" and Maxell (mij by Hitachi).

If you find Memorex discs for a good price, they make excellent skeet ... they sail very straight and break up into really small pieces ...

As far as liking Memorex .. well some people like fat ugly chicks too ...

Me ... I'm a Verbatim and Fuji/Yuden kinda guy ... I also say that the closer to the bone, the sweeter the meat ...

I must admit I haver never tried them,but due to unreliable suppliers where I live I have been forced to use a variety of stuff. Any that scan up cmc I know I am in for a rough ride.

Memosux-this +8x disc was burned at 4x:



Quality media-verbatim +16x,burned at 12x:



This clearly shows which disc is better!

Unless you get lucky and get the memosux that were made by mitsurbishi,then you'll likely get those cmags.

I've got no trouble burning memosux cmags,but I do keep my backup target size reduced and usually 2.4x and 4x speed only.I wouldn't even consider burning them at 8x or 12x.

Edit: Here's the 4x burn pic of a memosux cmag-came from the +8x 30 pack spindle that a buddy gave me. He paid $15 for these and a week before,staples had the fuji ty's for $9 a 30 pack spindle!

MEMOREX IS BOTTOM OF THE BARREL LANDFILL MATERIAL

You may come across a few that are ricoh-jpn but the majority
are cmc magnetics and they are terrible.

I get these locally at best for 19.99 a 50pk spindle

Memorex? Great Frisbies! Or Drink Coasters! LOL. Really, not good media at all. Anyone that has good success with it is very lucky!
I wouldn't buy them if they were 2 cents each.
