I have very good result with Memorex 16x +R. Burner I use are sony DRU-710A and lite-on SOHW-1633. All with +R system. So, they work perfect.

One another trick is not use high speed copy. Best result 4x and hihgest 6x. You will have excellant result.

Any brand disk like Verbatim, Sony,Fuji or Ritek. If you use higher speed 8x and up will result high defective rate.

i happen to have BOTH those drives you use and using GOOD QUALITY media, my BEST results are obtained from burning @ 8x on Taiyo Yuden & Verbatim media...

2ndly, WHY purchase the 16x rated speed memorex when you ONLY burn @4x or lower with good results? aren't you somewhat "limiting yourself"? so when u burn any higher, the disc quality turns to crap because of the CRAP dye memorex uses...what's the point?

that is the ONLY way you can "claim" Memorex discs are good, because you burn them @4x or slower...that is the first thing many members look for when troubleshooting issues here on AfterDawn...of COURSE there are going to be prone to MORE errors burning @16x or whatnot, but to ONLY BURN THEM @4x or slower AND THEN CLAIM that Memorex 16x media are good? LOL there is no basis to that claim...

I suggest that when making a claim about Memorex media performance it?s backed up with fact. That fact can be an actual screen shot of your burn using Nero or DVDInfoPro. This way statements made will be backed with actual fact, not just rhetoric. Sort of Put up or Shut up. One other suggestion, could we please close this thread? Thanks.
