Setting up internet on psp?

Hey, I have a wireless router and am trying to set up an internet connection on my psp but when I'm setting up a new internet connection and I go to "Scan" under "WLAN Setting" it says "A connection error has occured. The WLAN switch is not turned on." What do I do to turn on the wlan switch?

on the left hand side of your psp (the side where the anolog stick is)

there is a switch flick it up and try again.
