If i create a DVD from a PC DVD-Writer with DVD Decrypter for example, can i then play it on a TV DVD player....?
Or a special procedure is required.....?

If it's a DVD-5 dvd- original that you backed up in Mode ISO read/Mode ISO write for the program of DVD Decrypter.

You have 2 sizes of dvds. The Dual layer-dvd-9s and single layer Dvd-5's. Big difference when using DVD Decrypter for these movies.

Mode ISO is for a 1:1 copy-NO compression. DVD-5 to DVD-5 or DVD-9 to DVD-9. Majority of us take the DVD-9 originals and place them on single layer DVD-5 blanks.For this,File mode is used and you have to compress using DVD Shrink. You will need DVD Shrink ,which is free.CloneDVD and Nero recode2 are also great compressing programs,but cost $.

Once you get that down,then you could probably face the problem of your stand alone/s not recognizing your backups. Media quality and Format are usually the culprits.You've got plus/dash/and Dvd-ram.Some of the weaker burners out there can also cause issues-burn errors and lower stand alone compatability.Some of these quality burners have bitsetting capability to turn a plus format blank into dvd-rom,thus making them higher compatable for stand alone players.

The most important thing is quality. Quality drives and quality media can help immensely to be able to play your backups on your players.It'll prevent a lot of issues later on. Those players can do some screwy things when it comes to playing our backups.They are more difficult to read than original dvds,but there are ways to fix. that issue.
