ultimate swap disc

received these instead of swap magic when I ordered. Anyone have any experience with these? it is a new disc with many ps2 utils (including swap magic 3.6) all on one disc. It sounds too good to be true. And I think it may be. In order to boot dvd games (nearly all of the ps2 games) I have to insert an original ps2 game and hit .change media. Then I can boot a backup. The extra swap totally sucks and I am wondering why the company decided to 'upgrade' my order to these discs. I would rather have the original swap magic that I ordered, it has less headaches.

Yeah, swap magic doesn't require you to do that extra step for dvd games.

yep, i think i did. I use the swap magic 3.3 myself and have had zero problems with it. These were for friends. And of course they are not too easy to use. I am going to try to get the swap magic dvds sent, since that is what I ordered in the first place. This was from ps2cover.com in case you're wondering. Total crap service. My order was placed in october and I'm just now recieving it.

yeah, now the company ps2cover.com is actually telling me not to complain because it is an upgrade. Yeah, right. An upgrade that is inferior to what I ordered. This could be nice in everyday life as well.
"oh sir, we don't have the Escalade you paid for but we've upgraded you to a nice Pinto, I'm sure you'll love it - you have to it's an upgrade."
how on earth can these companies stay in business? Lesson learned, stay away from these dumbsh*ts.

dude that is too much, those asses did the same exact thing to me, actually took FIVE weeks to recieve my order, I had just cancelled payment on my card last week, then got them in the mail today. STill no e-mail response. That place sucks. Anyone know of a good ps2 mod site, that actually delivers the same thing you order?

i got my mod chip from www.modworlddirect.com i bought it 24 of december and got it 6 of januray send them emails did not answer me on the 5 but still very good sevice

I've had good luck with www.mod-chip.com both times I've ordered from them. I was even given a discount on a three-chip purchase when I sent in a picture of my completed install (v12, DMS4 Pro).

holy crap..yeah i ordered a swap magic 3.6 AND flip top bundle for x-mas, and i just got this "ultimate swap" crap today, haven't tried it though...because the fliptop they gave me was JUST THE F***ING FLIPTOP!..like not a whole fliptop ps2 cover JUST the fliptop thingy, ugh are there any REAL sites that will give me what I f***ing ordered -.-; i am pissed

1. load the cd
2. using the flip top put in an original PS2 game
3. hit change media type from the menu
* it should now say dvd on the bottom
4. using the flip top put in your backup ps2 game (dvd)
5. pick swap magic from the menu
select load
that's it. It is a pain in the ass. The company is a bunch of retards. In fact retards should be angered by the comparison. I tried to deal with them over and over. And they are useless. They keep claiming it's an upgrade. Even though I didn't order it. Their only solution was to send everything back for a refund. Now after 2 months of waiting my only options are to 1. keep the shitty product and consider it a lesson learned (and tell others) or 2. send this whole bunch of crap back at my expense and hope these dipsh*ts will actually give me a refund. I am not confident they would actually give me a refund and with the shipping I could lose twice. Just don't anyone order from www.ps2cover.com. I have about 4 emails from these people that will give you an idea of what they are like. They actually said I was "ignorant" because I didn't want the free upgrade. Unbelievable, I guess they've never heard "the customer is always right"

i have had no problems with mod-chips.com. May i ask what else is on the disks?

atom wrote the truth only thing im going to add is when u put in an original game it has to be a game that has the highest amount of space on like my mortal kombat decption is 4.37gb that allows me to play games up to that amount, since starwars battlefront is more than that i cannot play it. its pretty crap.
and if anyone figures out how to get the cd loader working on this ultimate disc crap i'd be pretty happy.
i change the media to dvd then go to cd loader it says change game i put in ultimate and push x and it reboots, it put in game(burnt) and it was invalid disc, i put in dvd (original) and it says can't validate.

One site I've used and never encountered any problems with is www.memtechsolutions.co.uk - they are based in the UK. I have ordered Swap Magic 3.3 and 3.6 from them in the past. Received my order within a couple of days and the good thing is that you can actually track the order status. Oh, and you actually get what the advert describes. I will certainly be shopping with this company in the future.
