I need to know the step on how to copy movies from DVD Fab Decypter and burn movie using DVD Decrypter. I need to know how do I copy a movie with the new ARCCOS protection from sony? What is so big about AnyDVD, what make this software better than the other?
A few points first...
You need to compress your movie unless you are burning a small movie or are using D/L media.
Removing the encryption is what DVDFab Decrypter will accomplish, along with making adjustments for ARccOS. DVDFab Decrypter will not compress the movie.
DVD Decrypter can't load the files that DVDFab Decrypter creates so you will have to also do a conversion. DVDFab Decrypter creates a set of video files, DVD Decrypter only burns an .iso file.
DVD Shrink will accomplish both the compression and the conversion.
DVD Shrink can also take the place of DVDFab Decrypter for most movies, removing the encryption and applying the correct compression.
DVD Shrink can be set to open DVD Decrypter to begin the burn process automatically.
So you need DVD Shrink or some other compression program at a minimum.
You will need to unzip the downloaded folder and then install Shrink.
AnyDVD is is quite different than what you probably think.
AnyDVD is a "driver" that you install on your PC. You do not actually open the program during normal use. It sits quietly in the background, removing the encryption, ARccOS structure protection, region protection and others from "any dvd" you play in your PC.
You can use your older less effective programs now without worrying about what kind of protection or encryption the movie may have. They all appear as unencrypted to the programs you are using.
Is it better? Well, I like it.
Here's a guide by ScubaPete to explain the use of Shrink/Decrypter.
Try burning with an older movie, you won't need DVDFab Decrypter.
If you do run into ARccOS, then simply open DVDFab Decrypter and rip the movie with that first, then use Shrink's open files to load the files DVDFab Decrypter made and proceed as the guide says.
DVDFab Decrypter doesn't really need a guide. You just select the source, your movie, then you select a destination. Just make a new folder when prompted. Put it in a location you can find, like your desktop. The one setting you may have to make is the region code. Click the small gear at the top of the window to open the Settings window. Set your language and region code here.
