dudes,
i have been into DVDs for awhile now, but i still don't know what's the difference between + and -. Is it a Physical difference or just format war for $???

In a nutshell
DVD+R discs come completely blank.
DVD-R discs come from the factory with info on the disc that tells the DVD player that it is a -R disc (this cannot be changed).
If your DVD burner is capable of bitsetting/booktype by useing firmware or burning software, you can burn a DVD+R disc with info on it that will tell DVD players that it is a DVD-ROM Disc. Basically fooling it.
DVD-R discs are compatible with the most DVD players. Especially players a year or so older.
The newer players pretty much play all discs.
But a DVD+R disc burned with the bitsetting set to DVD-Rom will play in everything.
The most important thing is to use Good Media
