error msg Need Help!

i get these 2 error msg come up when i use skrink/decryter either open disk and perform deep analysis or if i rip the movie with decryter (iso read) and try and open up the file using shrink (i only do this when the program either lets me back it up and the movie comes out screwed up when playing it in DVd player or the program crashes)

open disk/deep analysis = Dvd shrink encountered an error and cannot continue, failed to read file "D:\" copy protection error-the read file failed because the sector is encryted

open file (iso read from decryter) = Dvd shrink encountered an error and cannot continue, Invalid data in file "C:\*DVD name*\video_TS\VTS_01_1.VOB" overlapped I/O operation in progress

ok now let me say that i have tried using anydvd but for some reason it won't run on my comp as of yet (emailed slysoft yesterday) and i am very unclear on which version of VOBBLANKER to download as there are 3 at the links posted on the forums, and if someone could please direct me to a good guild on how to use VOBBLANKER that would be Great!

Judging from the error message that you got, it probably has to do with encryption issues. You need AnyDVD running.

You say it won't run on your computer. What doesn't it do? When it is working properly you will see a little red fox head icon in the task tray. Once that is there, insert the DVD you are trying to back up. Wait for the fox head to flash pale red and then dark red. Once this happens the encryptions have been removed and you can open your ripping program.

I have found that if you try to hurry things along, you can get errors. Patience is required for AnyDVD to complete its task. Around 30 seconds or so.

Ok like i said anydvd isn't working, and i am aware of how the program works so that isn't the problem. please act like the program doesn't exist at all cause i am still in talks with slysoft on why it isn't working.

ok since the last time i posted i have messed around with Vobblanker and used some guildance from what people have said about it in other posts and it works GREAT! but i would still like to know if there is a good guild on this program cause i would like this program alot more if i knew its full capability

new question: anyone have any idea on why when i go to burn dvds using shrink i cannnot burn faster than 2X, and this is out of the blue cause i was able to burn at 16X until just recently?

INFO about my hardware: NEC burner TS-H552U it can burn at 16X but i usally do 8X cause i hear it is safer. my drivers are up to date, (i am pretty sure they are if anyone sees the newest drivers for my ROM please link them) and i just refreshed them. The media i use is the same and basic TDK print on DVD-R 4.7 Max write speed 8X that worked at that speed til just recently, and i reinstalled nero and shrink just to make sure

Sounds like your DMA slipped into PIO. Use this link to check/fix.

I too think it's an encryption problem. Try DVDFAB, it's free and can do pretty much everything that AnyDVD can.

ok i was able to burn all the movies but the only problem i am having now is the speed that shrink is letting me burn at and i have tried fab and it is a pretty nice program

What are the speeds? And would you want to go fast? 4x is what is the general consensus. 6x for me but only cause I can't burn at 4x. The speed that it lets you burn is mostly the rated burn speeds.

TDK sucks, try Yuden ,Verbs. Sony fuji and maxell are good if they are made in japan. What speeds are they giving you? And you do realize that teh blank has to be in the burner before Shrink can give you the speeds available right?

Like i said i have been using TDK for a while with no real problems to speak of but i do have a new Cake box (100) of verb that will burn at 8X and yes i did check it with the media in the rom (i have 2 and use one to burn and one to read) and the standard i have is max speed but when i noticed it was burning at 2X and let it finish the burn that it was doing i loaded another DVD and planned on changing the speed i had no options besides MAX and 2X
