mesa101,
Welcome to the forum. If it is Credit card problem all you have to do is complain to the credit card issurer and object to the charges as they were not authorized by you. They will have to refund the $ to your account. If it is PayPal then good luck as there are alot of complaints about them and I doubt you will get your $ back. Just inform your bank not to honor any Debits from them.
Remove any credit card info from the computer
Put a hold on all checks and debits . The bank can arrange for you to OK all debits if Fraud can be proved. You will have to talk to the manager but it can be done. If they refuse then close the acct and go elsewhere.

That is going to be harder than you think. The quickestand easiest way is to re-format the HD and the reload the OS and the Programs. If you have Google remove the info if it is there. It could be in any of your programs so I would just re-format and start over new. Maybe someone else has a better idea

Some sites have secure online ordering. Look for that but please understand when your info leaves your computer it might go through 20+ different networks before it gets to the company's computer. There is small residual info left on each. Best to just look for the item and then call they company and order via the phone. You do though understand the company's computers can be hacked into

I was just curious what this had to do with DVD Shrink? Some things never change do they? Anyway I hope you get your credit card problems resolved mesa101. It is more likely your card info was robbed from a department store or other type of shop than from the internet don't make the assumption this happened from the net a nd read up on credit card theft you would be surprised on how easy it is for a crook to get your info.

Cheers

I just saw an interesting tidbit on Fox news last week about how the picture phones are assisting the criminals in getting credit card info, by taking pix of people using them.

Ain't technology grand!
