Hi i want to buy some dvd's to backup my films. Can anyone suggest any good make of printable dvd that are reasonably priced? I was looking at -- Titanium DVD-R 8x speed, Full Face Silver Printable or maybe Ritek DVD-R White Full Face inkjet Printable these are sold on this website -- http://www.xscomputersupplies.com/acatalog/DVD_R_Printable.html

I'm not from the UK, but I can tell you that if you want your backups to last then use Verbatim or another top tier media. Ritek is a good second class media, but others will disagree.

If your burner supports booktyping, you may want to consider DVD+R media. With DVD+R media you can booktype it to DVD-ROM for maximum compatability in DVD players. If your burner does not support booktyping, then DVD-R will be your next best bet.

i just did a quick look-see as to what discs those Titanium 8x -R Printables might be, and i found this (not good) -
