What do you all mean when you say you are using dvd shrink with dvd decrypter running in the background?

You have it wrong... It's using Shrink OR Decrypter with AnyDVD running in the background...

That means that there is an encryption breaking driver (AnyDVD) turned on and running in the task tray. It removes the encryptions so that DVDdecrypter or DVDShrink can do their thing without any interference with encryptions.
