I use DVD Cover Gold. Do a search on google for it (I don't remember the site where I downloaded it).

I suggest you not to use any label covers especially if your disc spins while playing I tried this for some of my backups. It causes them to not play and skip most of the time. Not giving you the best quality. Thats why they don't put label on the Disc. They print them on there instead.

Your options for "Disc" Labeling would be, as you mentioned,
-Printing Labels and Sticking them on yourself. DO NOT DO THAT
As 2IIPac mentioned above, because of the ever so slight unbalance cased by the Paper Labels, many DVD Players will skip. Do not recommend.
-Other alternative is to write on the disc with a Sharpie Marker. Not very impressive to look at, but it is cheap, and there are no problems with skipping.
-Then there are the Printable Disc's. They usually look very professional. Many people are happy with the result, and because you print direct, there is no unbalance problems. But you will need to purchase the printable DVD's, as well a printer which can do this function, and also the ink.
-That's why I bought a LightScribe Burner. The Dics are a little pricie, but they are good quality. It burns the picture right onto the disc, but in a gold/sepia tone. No Color. But I do not have to buy another printer, or ink on a weekly basis. And to me, they look very impressive. I'm sure just not as impressive as the Printable Disc's. One more downfall is it takes about 30 minutes to print the picture on with the LightScribe.

FYI... The ink in my Epson R200 lasted through about 150 discs. It only costs $22 shipped for the set of 6.
