Can someone please tell me the difference between DVD-R and DVD+R media? What media is the best one to use when playing media on the Slim PS2? DVD-R or DVD+R?

On a PS2 your best bet would probably be a DVD ?R
DVD+R can be Booktyped to DVD-ROM and is more compatible with most DVD Players, but I don?t know about PS2?s. Maybe someone else can answer??

@2IIPac
I thought you knew everything about PS2 burning? LOL... was only joking here man. No hard feelings alright. Anyways, according to my knowledge and understanding any PS2 consoles v1 - early v4 can not play DVD+R, but will play DVD-R. The late PS2 consoles v4 - current will play both DVD-R and DVD+R.
However, it's wise to "book type" DVD+R into DVD-ROM. Yes... DVD-ROM is the universal format for both PS2 console and standalone dvd players. As a matter of fact, all original PS2 games and dvd movies are pressed as DVD-ROM, therefore any of the PS2 consoles can play any original PS2 games flawlessly.

pulsar. You got it bud?
I?ve never been a big fan of ?R?s since the +R?s came out. I don?t have a PS2 and am too dam old to play games, but from what I have heard the ?R?s work better in the PS2?s. Whatever!
For what I do, Verb 16X +R bitset to DVD-ROM is it!
