Should this be a good combination? I have a 2510A drive...2.15 firmware installed. I think I'm gonna get in on that deal at Best Buy (10 for $20), but just wanna make sure I'm not going to end up with a bunch of coasters. I know NEC drives are great, and Verbatims are great (now, at least), but I thought I read somewhere there were problems using this combination. Thanks for any help.

If they are the +2.4x verb dual layers:

About 2 batches ago,I picked my buddy up some of those Verbatim +2.4x dual layers at Office Depot. He has the NEC 2510 and they work great in his drive. I doubt if he has the latest fw update for it.

If they are the 6x speed, we haven't tried them yet if that is what's on sale at bestbuy.

Majority of problems is due to burn programs. Nero6 does have trouble with the layer break. Me and my buddy only use DVD Decrypter in Mode ISO read and ISO write. No problems.
