Don't multi-task while you are burning.

You are burning too close to the edge. Try to aim for no furhter than 4300MB. In Shrink to to Edit>Preferences>under first tab>scroll down 'till you get to custom>then type in 4300 in box beside it.

Try something other than Ritek. Yuden/Verbs are really good. SOny fuji and maxell are fine too if they are made in japan.

First nero is out of date, but you have version 7 not 6.
The current version is 7.0.1.4b.. get here..
http://www.nero.com/nero7/enu/nero7-up.php

Have you changed the media you are using lately, different brand (+R, -R, +RW, -RW) or manufacturer?

All DVD media is not created equal, there are differences in formulas, the quality of materials used, how they are actually made (the process used), where they are made (just because you buy the same brand/name doesn't mean that it's made by the same manufacturer at the same location) , etc... all these things create differences among them that can cause problems with the software and hardware trying to use them. Software/firmware updates try and make up for these differences, that's why it's important to stay upto date as much as possible. Software and firmware updates try to make sure that the media is identified correctly which in turn makes sure that it's written to correctly.

I now that there were problems with the initial release of nero 7 which could be causing a problem for you, but many issues should of been resolved with the latest update.

good luck.
