If anyone can help me it would be appreciated. I back-up a DVD using Fab Decrypter and using a class 1 Maxell DVD-R disk. I use NERO as my burning program, the first time and maybe the second time I play the DVD it plays just fine, however, around the third or fourth time I play the DVD back-up I only get one third way through the playback and it sticks so bad that I have to scrap the disk. Any ideas as to what I am doing wrong? Thanks in advance for any help.

Are you using Paper Stick on Labels?

Yes, I'm using Memorex labels. Some DVD backups do work with labels. Are you saying that could be my problem?

Oh Yeah! I had the same problem.

If you do a search about Paper Labels, you will find other peoples comments. Many people have had the same issues, but on that note, You will also find that other people have no issues at all with the Paper Labels. I know for me it was an instant fix.

I bought a Benq LightScribe Burner to rectify the situation. Some people use Sharpie Markers, while others prefer the Printable DVD's which requires a special Printer. But the people who use the Printable DVD's say it is worth the money.
I say LightScribe is also worth the money. I am very happy with the results.

Thank you for the info. I didn't realize that something as simple as a paper label could cause this problem. I'll try a marking pen in the future and then maybe go to light Scribe. Thanks again.

Just to make sure, you don't plan to use a normal pen are you? It's probally just the way you wrote it. Sharpie Markers are pretty popular.

Yes, I'll be using a Sharpie. Do you know the best way to remove a stick on label? Thanks again.

I would just let it sit in warm soapy water.
Do any one else have any suggestions?
