this is an edit to this post, I guess the log from DVD2SVCD doesn't help, however I did look at the log from VCDXBuild. I guess DVD2SVCD makes a log for every step in the process and they contain different info than the main log created by DVD2SVCD. that said, the VCDXBuild log says at the end that the file was to large to create bin/cue, that probably tells it all. I saw something in the DVD2AVI portion of the log something about force film not activated, not sure if that makes a difference. actually I tried this a few time before with no luck until I changed/updated to QuEnc61 then I was at least able to encode. I'm kind of a newbie at DVD to SVCD so don't throw to much crazy jargon out there at me. here is the log from DVD2SVCD

WARNING! You seem to be using "Norton Unerase Protection" and
you want to delete the temporary files created by dvd2svcd.
This can cause DVD2SVCD problems. Even though DVD2SVCD deletes
the temporary files, Norton doesn't, therefore DVD2SVCD
might run into diskspace problems. I suggest that you stop the
"Norton Unerase Protection" Service.
