I got Stealth when it first came out (I didn't have AnyDVD at the time) and ripped it completely using DVDFabDecrypter. Now I have DVD43 (newest version) which says it removes all protection for this movie.

I open it using the Files option in DVD Shrink, then when I try to reauthor/just rip the main movie by itself to another location for burning, it doesn't do it properly. I did it twice and the whole file was only like 2 gigs or something, and it split the file up into two different parts as well.

When I try to view the movie/extras in the view screen in Shrink, it just gives me a blank screen.

EDIT: After a retry, I got the following message when trying to open the ISO with Shrink: Invalid Access to Memory and Error Exception something or other. The ISO size is 816 megabytes. I could preview it when re-burning the image to another location in Shrink, but only near the end. The beginning was pixelated/had green screen/black screen/etc.

Does anyone know anything about this? What can I do to fix this problem?

Thanks.

I also have DVD Free and it claims all protection has been removed from the files.

I may just have to get AnyDVD which is fine if I absolutely need it.

I ripped this movie using only DVD Shrink. Why don't you try again direct from the disk & use DVD Shrink only or with AnyDVD.
Stealth is a simple movie to rip.

Looks like it's not easy. I tried with DVDDecrypter to create .ISO image. Then try to use DVDShrink with the .ISO image. It's getting failled I/O error at 7%. Not sure what's going on ....

DVD43 is practically a garbage decoder for any movie post late 2004. There have been more problems written about that particular product it seems than any others. I wnet through the same thing you are describing, including freeze up, pixel problems, etc. Everyone had a suggestion, some stated it was the media I use, others thought there was a burner issue, however, most suggested a different decoder. I gave in and since there has not EVER been an issue.

Most poster here suggest AnyDVD. I'm not endorsing any particular product except to say I took the advice of most and have no regrets.

@nolfguy- You're probably going to have to re-rip the movie.

@withDVD- I've been using DVD43 since the beginning of 2005, and have had a problem with only one movie, which turned out not to be a protection issue. One man's trash...

@john_buh- Are you saying that the movie is too big for Shrink to compress? How big is it? Are you compressing it to fit on a DVD5 disc?

Yes have it set to DVD-5 shrink analyzes it and only compresess it by 99.2% leaving a file size of 5467MB not 4464MB which shrink needs. Tried re- authoring it with just the movie and its still too big, but burnt it anyway the report at the end said burnt 3,969 MB but chapters were missing.

I've squished movies that big onto a DVD5. I want to say that its a user error, but I don't know. Try redoing it.

john_buh, try setting your target size to 4300. That should do the trick.
