Could anyone out there provide some advice? I tried making a copy of The Island using DVD decrytor and DVDFAB and DVD Shrink all of which did not work. Is that the same results some of you are getting? what am I doing wrong? Please advise.

AnyDVD + Shrink + Burner, your choice gets it.

DVDDecrypter in the Mode -> ISO -> Read R + Shrink open File -> Open Disc Image + Burner gets it.

Otherwise
Dirty, Clean
Scratched, Polish scratches with toothpaste, Clean again.
Bad Pressing, Replace??

Done with DVD Shrink with DVD43 running in background - no problems.

Perhaps dirty or damaged disk - try a replacement.

I use Decrypter in the Mode -> ISO -> Read R and it will take care of ANY of the ?New? protections.

I then use Shrink and open with File -> Open Disc Image. Most of the time I use Re-Author for a Movie Only with Great Quality?

Or if I want it ALL, I use Decrypter to Read R then Write W to a DL Disc?

DVD Decrypter can rip "The Island" flawlessly. No special protection on this movie whatsoever.

WARNING: Do not "update/upgrade" your SAMSUNG BD-D5XXX series (Bluray Player), or else you cant enjoy any of your movie files.

Shrink is a Ripper, Too?If there is No protection then skip the extra rip and go with Shrink Only.. KISS

i used shrink, and decrypter, and had no problems. it was a breath of fresh air after doing some problem movies, like the brothers grimm, and wedding crashers.
but as for your problem, try vobblanker, with AnyDVD, then try to shrink, and burn with whatever, but i believe yours is a dirty disc problem also.

i rip 99% of my films via my 3yr old dvd-rom/cdwriter combo drive. i do get the odd film that won't copy, then i just use DVDFab Decrypter or DVD Decrypter, but i emphasise that very few films have been a trouble for me using just DVD Shrink "on it's lonesome LOL". i pretty much always do 'movie only'.
