My psp will not transfer songs onto my memory stick. I needed to get more memory and i got a 512MB SanDisk Memory Stick PRO Dou from magic gate. I think that i read somthing about geting the wrong memory stick. if i did is there anyway to make the music i want to download. I did change the wma format and i have it at an mp3 format.if anyone can help thanks.

your music has to be in mp3 or atrac and you need to set your folders like so

PSP
----PSP
--------MUSIC
------------music files here

so it will be x:\PSP\MUSIC\ (replace x with your removable drive letter)

just place your tracks in the music folder and your away

Thanks, but might it be that it is a PRO DUO? i read something that if you have a PRO DUO you are not able to put music on it. is this true?

i havn't read that - infact i doubt what you reead is true

i have a sony pro duo and it works perfectly (infact you get it with giga pack)

you must have set it up wrong

well i read it in the instruction manule and the musics fine when i have the memory stick that came with the PSP. I don't know i got both of the formats the same and everything. i realy didn't have to do anything i just pluged it in and it took me to my removeable disk program. i made folders for music and photos the photos work fine and my mp-root folder works fine (when it wants to), and your probably right. i looked up Memory stick duo's on google and no one seems to have one. :( not bestbuy, eb games, or circutcity.

hey anybody there? im sorry if this is a bad time for you. pls i need to know soon if i need to get another memory chip. i read over it again and i thaught mabe that this is the wrong type of chip since its SanDisk.

sandisk work in the psp - possibly your stick is faulty

try buying another one (get the same colour)
if that one works

send your old one back in the packaging saying it doesnt work correctly

ive had the memory stick for awile now and i might have thrown the box away but if thats all you know thanks for the help. your a great source for info.
