I keep getting the message "Failed to read file "D:\" Data Error(cyclic redundancy check)" What does this mean? I tried decrypting The Brothers Grimm and The Cave and I get suspect areas inserting dummy sectors. When I get to Shrink, it says another error. So I downloaded DVD43 and now I am getting the above said error. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If the disk is clean and scratch free then it either Sony ARccOS or Microvisions RipGuard encryption on the disk.

This is what you sholud try:
1) uninstall DVD43, it's not helping you

2) get anydvd and install (you get a 21 day free trial) it's like dvd43, but it's supported and constantly updated.

3) rip the dvd while anydvd is running in the backround with dvdshrink, have shrink create an ISO then burn it with dvd decrypter.
You can also use imgburn, or nero

If you have shrink create video files in a VIDEO_TS folder, you can also burn with nero automatically (have the burn with nero option check in shrink) or if you prefer to do it manually here's a guide..http://www.dvdshrink.info/guides.php

This may be stupid but will AnyDVD continue to work after the 21 day trial.

I will try the suggestions tomorrow. I have been trying this thing for two days. I was finally able to burn The Brothers Grimm (movie only, this is exhausting.
Thanks a lot. I will get back to ya to let ya know if it worked or not.

Nope after 21 days you have to by AnyDVD. But if it took you 2 days of trying to do a movie then the $ is well worth it. Right now there is no protection AnyDVD can't handle. Depending on your pc specs it will probably take less than an hour. Very easy!!
