The EBOOT Loader is a program that lets you run free, non-commercial software ('homebrew') on PSPs with firmware version v2.0. This page is here to tell you all about it, and how to get it.

IMPORTANT: The EBOOT loader currently works on v2.0 firmware only. Work is in progress to support v2.01 and v2.5 via the Grand Theft Auto savegame exploit. v2.6 is possible, but is unlikely to happen very soon, because of the extra difficulty of working with v2.6.

It's very much work in progress, but can load quite a lot of existing EBOOTs. You can see a list of the test results for the current release here.

To use it, download the zip file here and unzip it into the root folder of a memory stick, and use the PSP photo viewer to open the "EBOOT loader 09" folder.

Please let me know if you are able to get any interesting EBOOTs to run, or details of any EBOOTs that it is unable to run, so that I can try to enable them.
