my dvd burner (emprex dual layer) does not play dvds,burned or regular ones I tried using nero showtime,win dvd,windows media 10 I also tried it in the dvdx copy I just bought but it does the same thing in all of them they all freeze the i have to use cntrl alt delete then it says not responding,but it reads any dvd I put in the burner,I always decrypt the dvd's and it alays works,I want to try my new dvd x copy but can't because it keeps freezing please somebody help me

what is your computer specs? and what OS do you have? And is it an internal or external DVD burner? and if internal, did you just install it?

I am running windows xp, I have been running this for a wile and this problem has been there since I installed this internal dvd player,actually the one I had before this I took back and exchanged it for the same brand because the other one would not read the dvd's,but this one really burns real good it just does not play the dvd's it freezes then I have to manually reboot my computer,I s it because I don't have a decoder installed? I also bought Nero 7 shouldn't this play dvd's? It also won't even play the ones I burn and the ones I burn play in all my dvd players
