VERY UNLUCKY draw of the straws? u basically got the "shortest straw" and you are "it" i'm afraid to say...

i personally don't have a membership to Sam's club, so i can't say i've ever purchased ANYTHING from their establishment...i know this doesn't make you feel any better, but thank you for letting the rest of us (ie. others that DO shop @ sams' club) know about this finding...

When I first started out doing backups, I used to use verbs from Sam's Club. All were coded cmc mag. Scuba Pete told me to look for data life plus as these weren't cmc coded. Alot of my movies in the beginning all skipped and froze. I use Maxell + and - now and love it. I saw 75 Maxell ink jet printables at Sams this past holiday for $29.I haven't gotten them yet to let you know the code.

indeed, Verbatim Datalifeplus are what you need, or even 'Verbatim Taiyo Yuden' though they're still not on sale in the US..

Well, I bought those Maxell DVD-R injet printable 8x and they are junk. CMC MAG AE-1 coded. Taking them back today. Shame on you Maxell.

A few years ago Verbatim Datalife + had CMCs also. They were the -R 4x rated. That is where i first found CMCs, hiding under the Verbatim name, and i had a few memorex CMCs before i knew any better. I am still waiting for the Verb/Tys that creaky and the UK have. This is a pic of a verbatim datalife plus from a few years back that comes back CMC MAG.
