Anyone having a problem w/"Red Eye". I encountered a "crc" error when backing up to Shrink. Backed up successfully w/DeFabDecrypter, then encountered the error again when trying to back up with Shrink.
I cleaned the disc, anf I don't have access to DvdDeCrypter. Any suggestions would certainly be appreciated.

thread title renamed to be relevant. there's a few threads on Red Eye now.

i'm guessing all that's needed is DVDFab Decrypter to grab entire disc to hard drive, then DVD Shrink from there. i'll bet that's all i'll have to do when Red Eye is released here in UK

Google. You will surely find DvdDecrypter. Alot of sites still have it.

Make sure you are using the latest version of dvdfab decrypter. Then as creaky said use shrink from there. I used AnyDVD and CloneDVD - can't remember what it said this disc had - don't think it was anything special.
Here's a link for decrypter:

AnyDVD and DVD Shrink worked for me. As far as I remember there's no special or different protection on this disc.

I would try:

1) Taking the files you got on your hdd from DVDFab and running them thru VOB Blanker and then DVD Shrink

2) Try a different disc of the movie.

I'm assuming your doing a Region 1 disc?

Decrypter alone to rip/recode2 to compress and burn did it for me.

Nero Recode2 or Shrink using deep analysis and AEC/ fabdecrypter or anydvd running in the background/ IMGBurn to burn/main movie only mode= perfect.

I backed up Red Eye with anydvd and dvd shrink. I watched the movie from the ISO image first before burning it and I didnt see any problems. Dvd fab decrypter appears to be updating faster than anydvd. Dvdfab fixed the glitch in wedding crashers first and anydvd hasn't. I had a coaster when watching my backup of wedding crashers.

AnyDVD and CloneDVD for life.
