the Pink Floyd DSOTM is pretty good, and I also like Kylie Minogue's Fever. My two favorites are the G3 concert DVD in Denver (Joe Satriani, Yngwie Malmsteen and Steve Vai) and Green Day's Bullet in a Bible.

I haven't seen DSOTM. I've got G3 but with Eric Johnson. I was fortunate to see Joe tour just before that came out in a small,8000 seat, venue. Totally awsome. And I agree with Green Day. Thanks for chiming in. I thought I was going to have keep this alive by myself LOL Another fav:Triumph at the US festival

yeah I've seen the G3 concert three times. Twice back in the late 90s with Eric Johnson, and recently about 2 or 3 years ago when they replaced Eric with Yngwie. Awesome concerts! Steve Vai is by far my favorite, but Joe kicks some serious ass as well.

I have numerous concerts, on DVD, but my favorite is the ELO "Zoom" concert. Jeff Lynne sounds better than he did 25+ years ago.
ELO's Zoom album has alot of Beatles influence in the tracks. They do a few cuts in the "Zoom" concert.
Life is good!

When evolution selects its agents, it does so at a cost, makes demands in exchange for singularity, and you may be asked to do something against your very nature. This force, evolution, is not sentimental. Like the Earth itself, it knows only the hard facts of life's struggle with death. All you can do is hope and trust that when you have served its needs faithfully, there may still remain some glimmer of the life you once knew.

yeah some of the Tool shows i have are awesome, got one from 98 with maynard in a dress the whole show, mostly stuff from Aenima. i recently picked up an audioslave show from Cuba, something about the first rock show there in years due to political reasons. It's nice to get the ones that are shot by pro's, but then again the bootlegs nowadays aint like they used to be. Now you get 5 guys in the crowd with cams and they all get together and edit the best footage to make one great show.

I remember going to a show when I was young and seeing one guy with a camera and going "Ahh, you guys aren't supposed to be doing that." And big guy watching out for him, growling and snarling at us and we just bolted.LOL
Amazing they can get that many guys to pull it off. But I guess there's always someone rolling then. CRAZY!

I have the G3 DVD with Yngwie, I really wanna check out the newest one with John Petrucci. That guy is really talented. Iron Maiden Rock in Rio is one of my favorites...Looking forward to Death on the Road. I have that Pink Floyd one, but I still need to sit down and watch it. Another one of my faves is Zakk Wylde's Black Label Society: Booze, Broozed and Broken-boned. I have way too many concert DVD's to mention so I'll stop there.

Music dvds? Hmmm, I have La Traviata, La Boheme, Andrea Bocelli in Tuscany & Tubular Bells 2003.
I thought the Tubular bells DVD sucked big time. I cannot believe that Mike Oldfield made such an abomination of one of the all time classics! Re-vamped & f****** c**p!

The problem with concerts is that the acoustics can be all to pot, also there is little chance that you will able to get it to studio perfection. Saying that, Bocelli in Tuscany is pretty good for an outdoor concert. I can't really see a man with a voice like Bocellis' would do it otherwise. Opera & rock concerts are quite different acoustically, & you don't generally have to sing over a noisy crowd!
