Quote: Fanjita has released some great new information on the status of the EBOOT Loader for 2.01/2.5 firmwares. Looks like SNES now runs, and not only runs, but also successfully loads a .ROM file. This is great news for the entire scene, as full user-mode capabilities are starting to dawn on us 2.01/2.5 firmware users. Unfortunately, though, 2.6 users may need to wait a while longer as this does not yet work on 2.6.
"We finally made a more solid breakthrough with the EBOOT loader for GTA tonight. Not only does the menu now work properly, but I've also managed to run the uo_SNES9x emulator, and play the Pilotwings ROM (the only one I have).
At the moment everything is hanging together with a pretty nasty hack. Ideally I'd like to get that fixed up before release, but it's more likely that we'll decide to release things as they currently are, and iron out that issue later.
Please note that lots of basic homebrew is still not working, but I thought that getting SNES emulation running was a big enough milestone to celebrate!"

Quote: Mini-Mario Bros 'Demo' For 2.01/2.5/2.6 Released!
PSP 3D forum member, arguru, has released a sweet port of Mario Bros to the 2.01/2.5/2.6 firmwares. Many homebrew users have been looking for a port like this for a long time now, and now the void is finally filled. We have first-hand tested the Mario Bros port, and it is simply outstanding! Great job arguru, we hope to see you around in the PSP development scene in the future, and we can't wait till the next version is released.
Features in this initial release include:
- Nice 24bit ripped sprites.
- Skinnable sprites bmp.
- 256 random generated levels.
- 4 different enemies.
- Flip/Kick enemy mario bros style.
Works on mine fine :P http://www.psp3d.com/

So I presume that the eboot loader for 2.5 and 2.6 will be done through GTA save files?
Just wondering as I was going to sell GTA...

i have been reading this for a while now, and im wondering, if its done through loading a savegame file from gta, does it close gta after it opens the homebrew? because if it doesnt, then wouldnt that use more memory or make it run a bit slower or something?

@Forge1069
As far as i know they (Fanjita/Ditlew) managed to clear up the memory allowing bigger apps to be ran (or something along those lines) so it should run fine depending on how well it's been made.
