If i place a UMD in my PSP the screen just flips off, I can hear the disc spinning around, but nothing happens, if i rest the psp the game starts up normally, except its muted. if i hit the vol key everything goes back to normal. When i start the psp without a umd in it there is a speaker with an "X" over it next to the date and time. I have done nothing new to the psp, it just started doing that... any ideas?

i dont know about the screen going black

but the speaker with an X means its muted

just press the "music Note" button and it will go off

The button with the music note dosn't seem to do anything, i recently noticed, that when i hit the home key the screen goes off but the screen goes off, but i can still hear the options scrolling around, i can still play music, just the screen is dark, but if i select the game umd the screen comes back on, any ideas on this?
