i recently tried to softmod my xbox and it didn't seem to work. So i tried to delete it but it took my old dashboard with it. now it won't play games or any media at all but just boots up into the error 16 screen. I'm figuring my only hope is to hotswap cause I'm too poor for a chip. I was wondering if anyone knew where to get a new ms dashboard or could anyone send me one cause i just wanted to put that back on and forget softmodding.

no. i'm still a bit fuzzy on hot swapping but i was thinking maybe i could somehow transfer the ms dashboard file that way...

I still do not get how hotswapping works, if you make it read the other boxes HDD how does it trasnfer the files to the broke XBOX when its reading the other?

aim in an online instant messenger.as for the dahboard i have one on my computer havnt tried it out yet but it should work.send me a private message with your email address(dont post it in the forums)and i will email you the dashboard.
custom built gaming pc from early 2010,ps2 with 15 games all original,ps3 500gbs with 5 games all original,yamaha amp and 5.1channel surround sound speakers,46inch sony lcd smart tv.

yeah i got a dashboard on my computer drop me a PM with your email addy in it and i can email you the dashboard file.

hmmm.....
If i burned the MSdash to Cd-rw and put the disk in my xbox - would that work?
the reason being, i don't have the equipment, or knoweldge to do all this hotswap/fpp/ whatever stuff.
