If I can rip a movie uninterrupted clear thru, I'm home free. I can then open up ripped files w/DVD Shrink and burn w/no problem. I hold my breath each attempt at ripping tho, as lots of times ripping just ceases & I have to restart pc.

My question is: How can I pick up from where I left off without starting the ripping from the beginning again?

I figure there's lots of you out there that know the answer. I'm pretty new at this. I've tried replacing each category, as in the VOB, IFO, BUP. I've tried to pick up where it left off.

I do know that it worked one time. I just don't know what I did that worked. I've been trying different combinations ever since it worked, to no avail.

It just crossed my mind that when I've tried to pick up where I left off, and I click on which file to rip to, that the one already being used for it with the name of the movie then opens up to the VTS file.
I don't know if it matters which one I click on to continue ripping to.

I can continue ripping, but other than that one time, I get an error from DVD Shrink that it can't find a certain file. Whichever file it says it can't find, is never even there on the original. If I click on simply the movie title without opening up & clicking on the VTS file, is that creating an additional file> Would clicking on the VTS therefore be the answer?

I'm so tired of experimenting to no avail right now that I thought I'd ask for some help.

Thanks for any input! (WAY more complicated than ripping a CD! Although should they copyguard, I'd probably be in the same fix!)

THANKS!!!

Also, it's not the burner I'm having trouble with...it's the DVDDecrypter program I'm using to rip to the hard drive BEFORE I burn.

Whoops! scratch that last brain-fart of a post! Realized of course the burner is included cause it's also the source of the ripping!
