Enter the code below without a sim in and see if anything happens. Most likely you will get nothing and if so, insert the AT&T sim and you will see "phone restricted", press "undo" option, enter the code again and press enter or OK.

This is the correct code then. Enter it slow and make sure all digits are correct before pressing the final # of the code.

If this doesn't work, I don't know what's wrong. I do hope you are entering the code with the AT&T sim in.

Please explain to me exactly what you're doing from start to finish when entering a code and also the error message you are getting. Something isn't being done right.

i was just wondering about something.... i had a friend that was trying to unlock a while back... i don't know if he used the same codes but he tries more than once to unlock it... could that be why it isn't unlocking? maybe it's gone over the given amount times you can try to enter the code?

ok... i turn on phone with AT&T sim in it. in the upper left it says "phone restricted" with a stop sign next to it and at the bottom it says "undo". i press "undo" and then it says "enter restriction code" and there is a box to enter the code and under the box it says "ok". after i put in the code i press "ok" and then the screen says phone restricted at the top left with a stop sign next to it, and with no "ok" at the bottom.

Something is happening and that may be it. 99% of the time, code #5 will unlock the 3220 with T-Mobile with the correct settings. Another thing that is throwing me off is that your IMEI begins with 35500 when normally it's 35600 but if codes have already been tried, then it may be hardlocked to T-Mobile only. 5 chances to enter the wrong code are all you get and you have already used at least 3 here.

yea... i think it might be because more than 5 times were tried to put in the code. my friend that tried to unlock it before had atleast tried 3 or 4 times. if that is the case, is the only way to unlock it by taking it to T-Moble, or is there another way to unlock it myself?

T-Mobile won't do it at all. You will need to call around to some of your local "privately owned" electronics repair shops and ask them if they can unlock a DCT 4 type phone that has been hardlocked. They will need to use a DCT 4 clip and directly connect it to the phone and it usually runs about $20.00 to $35.00 and takes about 5 minutes. Also while your at it if you find someone, ask them if they can flash the phone for you with uncustomized firmware because T-Mobile's wap settings will still be locked in the phone. If you won't be using any internet at all, there will be no need for that.
