hi...i followed all the steps ...then when it tries to test the connection...it says theres error...can some1 help me? thanks...

i went to NETWORK SETTINGS > selected infrastructure mode > created a "new connection" > pressed the "right" key > i selected SCAN under WLAN settings > 4 access points showed up > i chose the one with 100% signal strength > then i pressed "right" again > i selected WEP under WLAN SECURITY SETTING > i keyed in the encryption in WEP KEY > then selected EASY ADDRESS SETTINGS > everything in SETTING LIST is AUTOMATIC and selected DO NOT USE/START for proxy server and internet browser > i saved the settings > then selected TEST CONNECTION...> after a moment it says "a connection error has occurred. the attempt to obtain the IP address timed out. Connection Name: Home

Two things,
Firstly, check if DHCP is enabled on your router, then also check that you are entering the correct WEP key

how do i check whether DHCP is enabled?
i logged on my router for belkin...i see two things with DHCP...there is a "DHCP client list" under the heading "LAN setup"...it showed one IP address, the name of the computer, and the MAC address...
also under LAN setup is Lan settings...in it i find DHCP server On/OFF and it is turned to ON
are those the right places to check ?
