Thanks for your help, tried some Emtec, ex BASF DVD-R 8X,it hated them, only got them cos they were cheap,
Mine seems to love the Ritek GO4 dye,
Hi, I have the same burner (Sony DRU-500A). I have used Maxells with very great success and now use TY's (Taiyo Yuden). I have had 100% if not nearly 100% success with both brands, all -R with about 400 burns burning at 2x.
The Taiyo Yudens i use are the 4x DVD-R from Supermediastore. You can get a 100 pack for 23.00. I included a link below for the TY's.
You cannot go wrong with the Yudens, they simply ROCK! I also love the Sony DRU-500, it has not let me down. I upgraded to the BenQ DW1655 but the Sony is staying in the system also until it's death. :)
