I need help also thekingo7 my dashboard is also vanished. I have downloaded the auto installer deluxe and the slayer_evox_auto installer but i don't know how to use the dvd decryter to make the dvd. I have a sprint phone 423-505-0966. maybe you could call and walk me through.

you beat me to it:-)
what you can do is find a demo disc (xbox mag demos etc) that have live components, this will update your xbox dash.
This is actually the best way to install MS dash on a 1.6 xbox after modding with a new hdd, so you can disable a modchip.
XB360 hitachi xtreme f/ware, chameleon case, whisper & airflow blue led. XBOX w/ 2.6 2x custom "djboogie" bios. PSP 1.50 w/ devhook .52 % 303 f/ware.

Hey ive read all the threads about connecting to xbox live to reinstall my dashboard, but i have just 1 problem with that. Every time i put in a new game i havent used on live yet and try 2 connect it wants me to go to the trouble shooter screen and then my xbox resets. How do i do this? HEEEEEEELLLLLLPPPPP !!!!! PLEASE IM BEGGING YOU SOME1 HELP ME ! -Rick-

Ok. What Gives? do i just use my old hdd as a frisbee? There is NOOOO possible way that i can update my hdd by a new game. U FULL OF IT !!!

First off which error do you get when starting up?
is it 13/14 or 21?
if its 13/14 then u have to have an active xbox live account to do the dash update and connect to xbox live using an xbl game (i.e. moto gp2 or similar) and it will then update your dash and all should be fixed.
if its 21 then its moe than likely modchip time because most of the time with this error you cannot boot games.
i have had both these problems and this is how i fixed them.
the best thing to do is spend a week or two looking at tutorials and loads of posts before attempting to fix your box otherwise it will end up as a very expensive footstool. (i know!)
and if you cant be without your console for a week or two - seek mental health counselling - or get a life

It shows error 13. ive tried to update i spent 4 hours trying it. but it wont let me go back to the connection troubleshooter. then it just resets.

alright guys i need a website or somthing that i can download an iso file type of the ms dashboard, when installing a mod my friend earased my dashboard and now i cant connect to xbox live nor get to any of my saved files, if somone could hook me up with a cd with the file already on it that would be great if not tell me where i can get one. thank you

To all you guys having problems with xboxs, try www.XBadvance.com and all your troubles can be solved. I hope you all are willing to ship your xbox off and pay a fixing fee. They'll be able to fix any of that stuff. good luck guys.
P.S. they fixed my problem with ease.

you see i would do that but i know somone has the cd with aid on it, and its much easier to get the disk then pay for the shipping of the xbox and to fix it, please somone get me a disk, thanks

it all sounds easy but i get the same problem i try to update my dash but it reboots aswell and gives me and error but no number just says it needs service.my problem isnt like the other guys my softmod works now what i want is my M$ dash so i can see my savefiles and rip music to hdd.how do i dont that?i have evox as my sofmod dash i used the xboxhdm hotswap method to mod my box.but theres no M$ dash just evox
