When evolution selects its agents, it does so at a cost, makes demands in exchange for singularity, and you may be asked to do something against your very nature. This force, evolution, is not sentimental. Like the Earth itself, it knows only the hard facts of life's struggle with death. All you can do is hope and trust that when you have served its needs faithfully, there may still remain some glimmer of the life you once knew.

you can use DVDDecryter ....... that would make it region free........ then you can use DVDShrink for compression........ burn with Nero. If you want to always have your drive set to record DVD+R/RW Booktype/bitset DVD-ROM..... then download and use DVDInfo Pro (free version) and set the booktype to always record to DVD-ROM!
http://www.dvdinfopro.com/ then you can use any program and your drive will always have this booktype!

As far as I am aware AnyDVD will make dvds you burn region free, don't forget that PAL is for Europe (Phase Alternate Line) & NTSC is for the States (National Televisions System Committee), PAL runs at at 625 lines & 50Hz, NTSC runs at 525 lines & 60Hz. The TV you use must also be compatible with PAL & NTSC, otherwise it will not play properly!

Phew, I am going to have to sit down now!

Pulsar, thanks for the region primer, haha. I've messed with my fair share of NTSC and PAL television/monitor configurations throughout my experience from building and converting JAMMA (Japan Arcade Machine Manufacturers' Association) game cabinets/superguns.

It looks like I have some video transcoding to do.

Thanks again.

Nice one! I'm glad that you stayed around, I've seen some of your posts, & they all make good reading. Just wanted to make sure, one can never tell the experience someone has. It's always good to let all know the problems people can come across!
