Morning all, I currently have the Pinnacle PCTV Deluxe 2.5 capture card. I do a descent amount of DVR with it for my kids fav shows. Here's the dilly. It's very easy to use and I never had a problem with it, but the resolution I don't think is as good as it could be. I know there are all kinds available out there, but I would like to get a general consensus of what you guys are using. My guess is there is a better standard available, sort of like souped up video cards and the availability of them. I'll use this information as the basis for my next purchase. Thanks for all your help everybody.

The Hauppauge PVR-150 is the current best bang-for-buck card.
Hardware MPEG-2 compression, and it works with some excellent free PVR software (gbpvr, mediaportal, gotallmedia).
Near-dvd quality recordings every time.
