messed up memory stick

hi all i got a 1 gig memory stick b4 xmas and its been working fine but now all of a sudden its blank my psp wont detect it nor will my pc has this happened to anyone else or is it just me thanks

Well actually I have had this problem with many MS Duo cards. I happen to believe that the problem for this item is that it has either become corrupt and unuseable or physicaly damaged as in cracked board. I had one where it would say Cannot use Device "X". It must be reformatted.

In your situation try to reformat it with your computer, not just a regular format but right click the device, then format then apply quick format and the file system would be fat or fat32. Then format it.

If it can be seen in your psp. If it cannot be seen on your psp a quick remedie I found for this is to push the card in and out till it recognizes it.

If that does not work then I have no clue what might work. If some other members would like to join this conversation it would be most appreciated!

yes this actually happened to me, idk know why it just did. The way to fix it is to go on yr psp to system/system settings/format memory stick

And it will fix the problem

I was reading the psp book and it says that if you format your memory stick from your pc it may become unusable.

He is actually correct if you format it on your computer it does not become unusable but only slower to access things.
